COHO DERBY TIME! Each year we participate in the coho derby.  We had a friend come up and fish with us. She landed a whopper of a coho.  There’s nothing like fall coho fishing!

JULY 2022

Special thanks to the De Leon family for coming out fishing with us. These young men do an excellent job reeling in their own fish. Words from a 6 yr old, “I want to fish my whole life!”

JUNE LOVE 2022

On a trip of a lifetime, with only a few minutes left, Lindi held on as this halibut faught the whole way.  Just as she landed the fish Jase asked for her hand in marriage!  We would like to wish Lindi and Jase a big CONGRATS as they get ready for another adventure together!

MAY 2022

The halibut bite has picked up and we are catching them!  If you look closely (under the flag) you can see an eagle that swooped down for a herring right as the photo was snapped!

APRIL 2022

At Alaska Affordable Adventures, we pride ourselves in taking the time to make sure every step of the way is perfect for you before you arrive. We follow the herring every Spring and hand fish them.  After we catch them, we brine them in some "secret sauce"!  By the time you arrive and they get on the hook, all the fish go crazy!!  Here are some pictures of our load from April 2022. We processed about 750 pounds this season.
